New focus on line business

In order to be able to provide our customers with "packaging solutions out of one hand" Bosch Packaging Technology K.K. has shifted its focus from mere packaging machinery manufacturing to full packaging line engineering.

That means that we are cooperating together with various packaging machinery manufacturers as partners to spare our customers the trouble to have to deal with several companies throughout their packaging line solutions.

We believe that it is much more convenient for our customers to have a single company in charge to turn to with their packaging tasks than to have to coordinate everything by themselves.

An example: The packaging of coffee.
After dosing coffee powder or beans with a Bosch FVS auger or a multi-head scale, made e.g. by Ishida, there are several possibilities to process the coffee either into bags or brick packs (both made by Bosch) or into rigid containers as our partner company Optima provides them. Followed by checkweighing done by either a Bosch KWE checkweigher or a similar machine by a local supplier, we can provide secondary packaging for example with a GSH case packer from Bosch or a machine from our partner company SIG Pack Systems. After one more checkweighing step we can provide palletizing also together with our partner SIG Pack Systems.

Thus Bosch is able to provide our customers with a complete line of packaging from the product that leaves production up to ready to be shipped pallets out of one hand.

The advantages of a line provider are obvious since only thorough line engineering ensures the smooth hand-in-hand operation of the various machines that are part of a packaging process of any product.
