Incorporation of Bosch Engineering Services Japan
- Expansion of engineering support for the Japanese Automotive Industry

Bosch Corporation (head office: Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, president: Stefan Stocker) will incorporate a 100% subsidiary named Bosch Engineering Services Japan K.K. As from November 1, 2006, the new company will satisfy the increasing need for engineering services in the Japanese Automotive Industry.
Since 1999 Bosch Engineering GmbH (BEG) has offered engineering services of e.g. function development and application in the domain of electronic systems not only in Europe but also worldwide. On the other hand, there are increasing needs in Japan for engineering services triggered by the success of the Japanese Automotive Industry in regards to R&D projects and mass production projects for car variants. The incorporation of a local BEG representation will actively support this development.
Bosch Engineering Services Japan KK will be headquartered in Tsuruya-cho, Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken with a capital of 100 Mio. Yen and the Bosch Corporation being the 100% shareholder.
The board will be made up by Koichi Morikawa (Bosch Cop. currently BEG Project Office) as the Representative Director and Bernhard Bihr (currently President of Bosch Engineering GmbH) and Toshio Saito (currently Executive Director of Bosch Corp.) as concurrent Directors. Takeyoshi Nagaoka (currently Accounting Dept. Manager of Bosch Corp.) will be the Auditor.
The new company will provide Engineering Services such as development and application for automotive systems and will initially employ 16 associates. Sales are expected to reach 600 Mio. Yen in 2007 and 1,200 Mio. Yen in 3 Years time. Date of incorporation and start of business is November 1st, 2006.
Bosch Corporation is listed in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Bosch Group in Germany holds a share of 58.8% (as of June 30, 2006). The company is involved in the development, manufacturing and sales of diesel and gasoline engine fuel injectors, automotive brake systems, transmission control systems and parts. Consolidated sales for the 2005 term were 310 billion JPY (2.2 billion euros).The company employs some 7,600 associates.
