Business Information Bosch Corporation Press Release
Bosch Corporation:
Summer Operation Schedule Ends
Goal of reducing power use by 15% reached
Power-saving efforts continue
Bosch Group extends its sincere condolence to the victims of the Eastern Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
In order to address power shortages during the peak time in Japan, Bosch Corporation changed the days it was closed to Thursdays and Fridays at domestic factories and offices, with some exceptions, beginning July 1, 2011.
As of September 30, 2011, this summer operation schedule will end. Beginning October 1, all locations will resume normal operation (open: Mon.-Fri.; closed: Sat.-Sun.).
We did reach our goal of reducing peak-time power consumption by 15 percent during the summer period. Even now that the restriction on power consumption established by the national government has ended, power-saving measures at each location will continue. It is our intention to continue curbing power consumption as much as possible.
We would like to extend our most heartfelt appreciation to our suppliers, surrounding residents and all who granted us their understanding of our efforts to save power.
