Along with growing societal concern about the protection of the global environment, the role played in addressing such environmental considerations by the products themselves, as well as merely the reduction in the environmental burdens imposed by corporate plant and factory production activities, have become an issue important enough to dominate social recognition and competitiveness and even the future existence of corporations.

Bosch Corporation recognizes the close connections between the environment and our business activities and accordingly makes environmental preservation a top management priority. We are addressing the preservation of the global environment by taking measures to help avoid global warming, save and recycle resources and restrain harmful emissions in all aspects of our operations including product development and manufacturing activities at our plants and factories.

We recognize and respect the strong need to continue and expand these activities in the future, and with this in mind, we must reinforce cooperation with our partner companies. This will allow us to proceed together with such partner companies in activities to protect the environment.

We are grateful to our partner companies for their cooperation in response to our various requests and positive endeavors in the field of environmental preservation activities.

However, in order to further promote the preservation of the global environment, the structuring of a recycling-oriented society and moreover provide our customers with environmentally-friendly products, it is essential that we can rely on improved and increased cooperation from our partner companies and at the same time, see each of them make their own individual efforts.

In order for us to contribute, together with our partner companies, to the protection of the present and future global environment, we have decided to add further priorities to our procurement guidelines. Namely, this will include the environment over and above the current items of quality, price and delivery term with the aim of creating an environmentally friendly procurement system.

We hereby declare the introduction of Green Procurement Activities and announce Green Procurement Guidelines in order to fulfill our role and responsibility as a global corporate citizen.

We will be highly appreciative if each of our partner companies understands the reasons and working behind our endeavors and kindly cooperates with us in pursuing such goals.

JAMA uniform data sheets can be downloaded via JAPIA web site. For partner companies which are requested to submit uniform data sheets, our purchasing department will inform the password for application.
