今朝の投稿でも触れましたが、ボッシュとモータースポーツの歴史は1901年までさかのぼります。

ちょうど110年前の1903年、レーサーのカミーユ・ジェナツィ（Camille Jenatzy）がアイルランドで開催された、ゴードン・ベネット・レースでボッシュの点火装置を搭載したメルセデスで、優勝しました！ボッシュの名が世界中に広がるきっかけとなった記念すべき日です。

赤毛にゴーグル、そして「赤」のコートを身に纏いレースに参加した彼は「レッド・デビル（赤い悪魔）」と呼ばれ、当時のボッシュのポスター広告にも使われました。残念ながら白黒の写真ではその様子がわかりませんが、明日は赤い悪魔のキャラクターが登場したポスターを紹介します！ このポスターにちなんだオリジナルプレゼントもご用意いたしましたので、お楽しみに！

110 years ago in 1903, Camille Jenatzy easily won the Gordon Bennett Race in Ireland. His 60-horsepower Mercedes racing car was equipped with a low voltage magneto ignition device made by Bosch. Jenatzy's victories made him famous, as did his appearance the red hair, the goggles and the red dust coat. He was featured in the famous Bosch advertisement. We will share this poster tomorrow!
