先日、こちらの記事（http://goo.gl/00zUeT）でスイスの鉄道用雪かき車をご紹介しましたが、今回は道路用の除雪車です。

この写真の車両は、トラック前方と後方のトレーラーにそれぞれ雪かき用のブレード（融雪剤散布機能付）を搭載している、アメリカ ミズーリ州で活躍中の除雪車です。
通常走行時にはトレーラーはただ けん引されているだけですが、雪かき作業時にはトレーラーのタイヤの角度を調整し、写真の状態のまま前進することで2車線分の雪を一気に片付けられる特別な機能を持っています。
トラック前方とトレーラーの各ブレード、また融雪剤の散布量を、操作レバー1つで制御できるボッシュレックスロスのコントロールシステムによって、ボッシュの技術が道路の安全にも一役買っています。

In the US, one snowplow does the work of two by pulling an angled boom that is able to clear a second lane in a single pass. Bosch Rexroth, with its Compu-Spread snow removal technology, has developed a control system for this trailer which allows the driver to control both the front blade and the Tow Plow Trailer with just a single joystick.
