Bosch Group:
Report on Bosch's response to the Eastern Japan Earthquake (Report No.2)

Bosch would like to express its deepest sympathies to all those who have suffered as a result of the Eastern Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, as well as extend its wishes for a speedy recovery.

Following the first report on the impact of the earthquake on the Bosch Group issued on March 18, this second report provides an update on the situation.

1. Operations

All plants in the Bosch Group have been busy working on restoring operations. With the exception of a few, they have set targets for the resumption of operations. However, due to ongoing scheduled power outages, problems with gasoline, other infrastructure, and distribution, and the impact of suppliers that sustained earthquake damage, only some operations are back in service. With safety as our number one priority, we are continuing to work on the resumption of operations while taking into consideration factors affecting our customers, suppliers, and infrastructure.

2. Situation of Bosch suppliers

Many of our suppliers located in areas near the epicenter sustained damage. However, in the past few days more have been able to establish a projected resumption of operations. We continue to provide assistance to suppliers whose circumstances give us cause for concern, and are looking at providing further assistance to these suppliers.

3. Impact on performance

We have yet to ascertain the impact that the recent earthquake has had on the Company's performance.

4. Support and donations for affected regions

Bosch Group has announced that it will make a donation of one million euro to the Japanese Red Cross for relief for victims of the disaster and affected regions. Bosch Group employees around the world have also begun collecting donations for the relief efforts in Japan.
Members of the Bosch Group in Japan are also collecting donations to help with relief efforts in affected regions.
