An authentic experience of the excitement and challenges of working experience in a global environment
Students who participate in the internship will experience some of the duties of an engineer through real work at Bosch. By working on projects, the participants will experience the excitement and challenges of working in a global environment. In addition, their stay in Vietnam will include programs such as an observation tour of the Ho Chi Minh Plant and exchanges with Japanese people working on overseas assignments. By catching a glimpse of Bosch's manufacturing in action and interacting with globally active engineers and local associates, some of last year's participants were able to improve their understanding of manufacturing, while others found that areas where they need to enhance in order to work on the global stage.
Developing engineers to lead development on a global stage
Today, the environment surrounding the manufacturing industry is changing. In Japan, engineers who can lead the evolution of development globally are expected to play an even more important role in the future. Bosch Corporation is engaged in research and development with around 45,700 engineers working at a total of 94 locations in countries around the world. Commenting on the internship program, President and Representative Director of Bosch Corporation, Dr. Udo Wolz said "We are delighted to hold the program again this year after its excellent evaluation last year. We hope that the young people who will carry on the future of Japanese manufacturing will use this precious opportunity to get a feel for what it takes to be an engineer leading development globally."
