10月21日、秋晴れの中、ドイツから若い高校生のゲストが12名、渋谷本社事務所にいらっしゃいました。ボッシュ財団（http://www.bosch.co.jp/jp/world/stiftung/）が毎年行っている「ユース・アンバサダー・プログラム」で選ばれた15～18歳の高校生たちです。

滞在中は、日本の文化や習慣などを学ぶと同時に、ホームステイなども経験し、将来の日本とドイツの架け橋となるべき人材を育むことを目的としています。今年は社長のヴォルツが出迎えました。

始めに、社長より、ボッシュの理念やテクノロジー、ビジネス、将来への展望などについてご説明し、その後、質疑応答を行いました。

社長からは、創業者ロバート・ボッシュ自身が若い頃から海外で経験を積んだ事から、創業後早い段階で海外に進出しており、日本でも100年以上前からビジネスが始まったことを説明しました。
また、世界の自動車業界において、グローバルに展開する日本の自動車メーカーのお客様の重要性について話し、それらのお客様の近くにいること、そして日本の伝統的なモノづくりの精神・高品質を深く知ることをボッシュは重要視していることを説明しました。

質疑応答では、予定時間をだいぶオーバーするくらい活発に質問が飛び出しました。質問の内容は、社長自身の経歴について、日本で働くことについて、多様な国の人たちと働くことについてなどです。
日本や日本人について質問があった際、社長より、日本の人たちは仕事を丁寧にきちっとこなし、信頼がおける、優秀ですばらしいパートナーであることを、強調していました。
また、近い将来インターン生としてボッシュで働くにはどうしたらいいのかという具体的な質問もありました。

15歳から18歳とは思えないほど、しっかりしていて賢く、子供たちというより、若い大人たちという印象を受けました。

その後、渋谷本社1階にあるカフェ「café 1886 at Bosch」(http://www.bosch-cafe.jp/)でみんなでコーヒーを飲み、歓談を楽しみました。

高校生の彼らの日本での経験が、彼らの将来のお役に立てばよいな…と思います。

We had 12 young guests visiting our Shibuya head office under the blue autumn sky on Oct. 21.
They are students at the age of 15-18 who are taking part in the the "Youth Ambassadors to Japan" which is organized by the Robert Bosch Foundation (Stiftung).

The aim of this program is to foster the young people with potentials to deepen German-Japanese mutual understanding in the future.
During their stay in Japan, they experience Japanese culture and custom as well as a home-stay at a Japanese family.

This year, Dr. Wolz, president of Bosch Japan welcomed them.
At the presentation, Dr.Wolz told about philosophy, technology and business of Bosch. He stressed the importance of having business with Japanese car makers in Japan and the fact that Bosch respects the Japanese spirit of Monozukuri (craftsmanship) and high quality standard.
After his presentation, he received a lot of interesting questions about his carrier, working experience in Japan with Japanese colleagues, global tendency of engineering and so on.
Some of the students were very interested in working at Bosch as a trainee in near future.

Afterwards, we all had a nice cup of coffee at the "cafe 1886 at Bosch" (http://www.bosch-cafe.jp/en/index.html) and had a nice chat together.

We all hope their experience in Japan will have a positive influence on their future planning!
